Casa Tua Cucina is a restaurant inside of a high end mall in Florida. They commissioned us to develop an app that their customers could use to order products from the restaurant and have them delivered to them wherever they may be inside the store. We used QR and RFID technology to track the customers, orders, and products around the interior of the store and accurately connect them when their order was ready.
This retail solution was developed speculatively to empower customers with more information at the moment of decision by incorporating on-demand videos into the retail shelf experience. While shopping customers could take a product from the shelf and tap it to the device to bring up product videos, reviews, and recommendations as well as cross-promotion of related products. Simultaneously the business is able to track the interactions with their customers and dynamically update the shelf experience through a cloud dashboard in real-time.
Exquisite Corpse is a method of art creation by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled by a number of artists whom are tasked with adding to the composition in sequence either following a rule or being allowed to see only the end of what the previous artist has contributed.
TapSpaces added to the experience by having artists incorporate an NFC tag to their art. These physical tags could be digitally interacted with by the audience. As people view the art they could also tap their phone to the NFC tag to read about the work, listen to music curated for the event, as well as engage with the artists via social media.
Cibola Art Innovation Network, Makers Minds: Exquisite Corpse event encouraged artists to create a wall of art. TapSpaces sponsored the event and provided the technology.
Launched in 2015 Larry (Loyalty And Rewards Reward You) is a loyalty marketing platform designed by TapSpaces to help small and medium sized businesses to compete in a digital world. The platform consisted of 3 parts, a mobile app or simple NFC tagged card for customers to use, an in-store kiosk for the staff and customer to interact with at the point of sale, and a cloud dashboard with a targeted marketing portal to engage customers directly as well as monitor all interactions in real time.
The in store process required some customer education, but soon after deployment end users truly enjoyed the new experience. TapSpaces effectively reduced the incurred cost of paper punch cards by 80% , gave the business an opportunity to engage directly with their customers in a digital way, and a way to track and report their ROI on our cloud dashboard. After a year of using Larry, DQ saw a 40% increase in sales over the previous year which was 20% more than their best year to date.
Below are the wire-frames I designed to build the app and dashboard as well as some pictures of the kiosks in action and the NFC tag cards used by the customers.
